Feed safety – Good Practices for the Feed Sector Matter
A webinar that will take place on 5 February 2021, 12:00-13:30 CET would bring together experts from FAO and the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF) to discuss the importance of feed safety in the sustainable production of safe food of animal origin and also a new manual on implementing the Codex Alimentarius Code of Practice on Good Animal Feeding.
Primary producers, including farmers and the feed sector, have a key role to play in the production of safe food. Daniela Battaglia, FAO, said “minimizing contamination in feed is essential to ensure the safety of animal sourced food,” and FAO is committed to assisting countries to ensure feed safety and to comply with Codex standards.
