Compliance with standards for lighting and microclimate parameters in educational institutions was checked by specialists from the branch of the National Center of Expertise in the Akmola region.
Over the 8 months of 2023, the branch carried out 7,548 measurements of microclimate parameters, of which 177 indicators do not meet the requirements of sanitary and hygienic standards.
Also, during the verification of the compliance of illumination in school classrooms, out of 6,790 measurements taken, 415 were found to be non-compliant.
During this period, 29 educational institutions in Kokshetau were inspected.
Monitoring in schools and timely response is necessary to establish compliance of light levels and air humidity with established standards, which directly affects the comfort and health of students and teachers.
For example, in 2022, in secondary schools, the deviation from the norms of microclimate parameters was 1.5%, and illumination - 1.9%. Whereas, in 2023, discrepancies in similar measurements increased by 2.3% and 2.9%.
The research results obtained were transferred to the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control to take the necessary measures to eliminate violations.
