From April 22 to 24, 2025, a training seminar titled “Laboratory Methods for the Diagnosis of Brucellosis and Tularemia” was held at the branch of the National Center for Expertise in the Aktobe Region.

The event brought together specialists from 13 regional branches involved in the diagnosis of especially dangerous infections, including heads of laboratories, physicians, and lab technicians.

Leading experts from the Central Office of the National Center for Expertise (NCE) delivered lectures and practical recommendations to the participants:

• Gulnur Bauyrzhankyzy Toktasynova — Expert from the Department of Production Activities, Master of Medical Sciences in the field of Preventive Medicine;

• Toktasyn Kenzhekanovich Yerubaev — Director of the Department of Strategic Development and International Cooperation, Doctor of Medical Sciences.

The seminar covered in detail modern laboratory diagnostic methods for brucellosis and tularemia, as well as current issues related to biosafety, standardization of procedures, and ensuring the quality of laboratory testing.

The goal of such educational events is to enhance the qualifications of healthcare professionals, ensure effective sanitary and epidemiological control, and strengthen the biosafety system in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
