The influence of electromagnetic fields on human health and methods of protection
Влияние электромагнитных полей на здоровье человека и способы защиты 25.11.2019

Electromagnetic radiation follows us everywhere: at home, at work, on the street. The sources of this radiation, in addition to electrical networks, are almost all household appliances, including various electronic devices: television and radio equipment, mobile phones, gadgets and many other electrical devices.

At a certain intensity, industrial frequency fields of 50 Hz cause a response in our body. The most sensitive are the nervous, immune, endocrine and reproductive systems. That is, the degree of influence of electromagnetic radiation on the human body directly depends not only on the time spent in the zone of its action, but also on the distance to the source of radiation.

The first warning signs are fatigue, irritability, sleep disturbances, memory and attention. With prolonged exposure to an electromagnetic field, the body's protective resources begin to deplete faster. The intensity of the EMF decreases with distance from the source.

The urgency of the problem has long been recognized abroad. Detailed research is carried out in scientific laboratories. Thus, Italian scientists discovered that EMFs can cause infertility. By the way, it is on the reproductive function of both women and men that the influence of electromagnetic fields is reflected most strongly.

Many parameters are important - field intensity, radiation duration, frequency combination. Let's say that subway passengers are exposed to EMF once, but drivers are constantly exposed to it. A particularly powerful impulse is emitted when the train accelerates and decelerates. Employees of small cafes who are forced to hover around convection ovens and microwave ovens are also at risk.

Of particular concern is the proliferation of wireless communications (Wi-Fi), which generate pulsating electromagnetic radiation. Wireless Internet technology can harm a child's developing central nervous system, experts say.

Experts from the World Health Organization recommend refraining from using wireless Internet access via Wi-Fi in educational institutions for children.

There are guidelines for the amount of time children can spend on the computer, which are advisory in nature:

Children 5-7 years old - 30 minutes a day
Children 8-12 years old - 1 hour a day
Children 13-14 years old - 2 hours a day
Children 15-16 years old 3 hours a day. Every 40-45 minutes you need to take a break.

How to reduce the influence of electromagnetic fields?

Maintain safe distances - do not stand near a working microwave oven , do not sleep near a wi-fi router. Turn off your router's wi-fi when you are not using the Internet.

Properly arrange furniture and electrical appliances in the apartment. Do not place the bed against a wall if there is a refrigerator, computer or TV behind it. Even load-bearing walls do not serve as a barrier to low-frequency EMF, and therefore, when arranging furniture, it makes sense to look at your neighbors. What if there is someone else’s electric stove behind the back of your favorite chair, where you spend several hours every evening?

Don't keep laptops on your lap. Reduce talk time on mobile phones. When at home, try to use a stationary device.
