Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on fisheries and aquaculture in Europe and Central Asia

Currently, fish and fish products are those food products that are most actively traded at the international level. Therefore, the impact of COVID-19 on the production aspects and the fish supply chain remains profound. On the other hand, supply chain breaks negatively affect demand.

Countries in Europe and Central Asia have been affected to varying degrees by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, influenced by country and local responses. In addition, these countries did not properly record the impact of the pandemic on the industry.

The webinar provides an opportunity to share experiences gained by government agencies, non-governmental organizations, civil society and the fishing industry in responding to the crisis triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
